Exams at ETC
EXAMINATIONS UPDATE - April 2010
Please note timetables have been handed out to all Year 9, 10 and 11’s who are involved in an examination during the Summer season via Mentors this week.
Attached to each timetable are the official notices from the Joint Council Qualifications which give details on expected conduct, mobile phone warnings etc.
Please check our website under the “Exams” section where you will find a summary of all examinations taking place, along with copies of the notices mentioned above.
Students are expected to be on time for their examination and in full school uniform. All equipment will be provided by the exams office.
If a student is unwell on the day, please call the office and leave a message no later than 8.30am. The examining board/s insists that a doctor’s certificate is issued before we are in a position to apply for special consideration against the overall marks. No guarantee is made that special consideration will be awarded, as it is at the examining boards’ discretion.
If a student attends college on the day of a scheduled examination, they must notify the college that they will be either late/or early for that day and give details of the exam. Full ETC school uniform is still expected to be worn.
The Summer season is a busy time for the examinations team, but remember we are here to support! Please contact the exams office with any queries.
